Adult Programs

BDL offers many programs and activities for adult patrons! From fly fishing class to craft workshops and technology support sessions, we try to meet the needs and interests of our adult patrons. Some classes require RSVPs, most are free, and we are always looking for ideas for additional programming. Stop by the library or email info@boynelibrary.org and let us know what types of programs you would be interested in attending.

BOYNE WRITES ZINE PROGRAM

Boyne Writes is an ongoing program to foster community and creativity among Boyne District Library patrons. Participants make a booklet at home and submit it to the library to have it printed. Once it is printed, we send you back a pack of zines that includes yours and zines from other participants. Additionally, a copy will be kept at BDL to build a community zine collection at the library.

A zine (rhymes with "bean") is a small booklet typically made by one or a few people who use a copy machine to publish them. Subject matter can be anything: short stories, poems, images, informational, opinion, story from your life, comics, etc. It can be as casual as you want! It's your book.

Email nemeca@boynelibrary.org to have a Boyne Writes Guidebook & Instructions zine mailed to you. You can also view a digital version of the Boyne Writes Guidebook & Instructions online. The digital version includes everything you need to participate as well. If you don't have a printer, simply write-out the information on the submission form. Call 231-582-7861 if you have any questions.
